To reduce instances of identity fraud on the platform, and to ensure that our platform remains a safe and enjoyable place to be, we ask users to verify ID to access the full IGGalaxy solution.
ID verification helps to maintain the integrity of the platform and mitigate any malicious activity; security is incredibly important to us and we want all users to feel safe and secure while participating in tournaments.
Our chosen partner for this implementation is Veriff. You can read more about Veriff and their identity verification product here.
While there is no hard deadline to complete ID verification, you will need to complete this process to:
- Receive your tournament rewards
- Join more than three IGGalaxy tournaments
- Redeem a free NFT avatar
- Join Community tournaments that are configured to require ID verification...Therefore, for your own experience, we recommend you complete this process at your earliest convenience.
You can submit a verification request by navigating to your in-app User Settings.
Want to know how Veriff verifies your identity?
Here’s the basic process:
- You'll be asked to provide your name, and to ****take a photo of your ID document (normally a driver’s license, passport or ID card) using a webcam or smartphone camera
- You'll be asked to take a quick selfie with the same device...That’s it! 😊
- Subsequently, you should receive confirmation of your verification in less than one minute (via email notification). If everything's in order, then you can continue using IGGalaxy as normal! Easy peasy!

You will need a valid physical copy of your ID, that is not tampered or damaged, and that can be easily photographed.
Electronic copies of your ID, e.g. photographs of your passport, will not be accepted.
For ease, recommend that you use a mobile phone to complete your verification. However, you can also use a PC with a webcam.
- The minimum camera requirement for ID verification is 480px x 640px; if your camera's resolution is lower than this tolerance, then you may need to use another device.
No. All costs pertaining to the verification of your identity will be absorbed by IGGalaxy.
Once you have started your ID verification, you have seven days to complete it. If you do not complete the process within this time period, your session will expire and you will need to restart your submission.
Fortunately, the verification process is quick and easy, and restarting it should not be an inconvenience to you.
We appreciate that younger users in certain markets may not have a government-issued ID. In these cases, we encourage you to ask a responsible adult to sponsor your account - if an adult agrees then they can complete the verification on your behalf, using their own ID and by taking a corresponding selfie with your device.
Please note that we regularly monitor ID verification requests, including the device(s) used for verification purposes. If we believe that a user is attempting to circumnavigate our verification process, your access to IGGalaxy may be removed.
IGGalaxy is committed to maintaining an environment that is both a safe and enjoyable place to be. With this, we consider ID verification a core component of our platforms ethics that is also in line with industry trends. Therefore, we do not allow individual exceptions to the verification process.
However, in the event that you do not have valid ID due to your age, or due to geopolitical challenges in obtaining an ID, you will be able to verify your account with the support of a sponsor. If your sponsor agrees to support your account, then they can complete the ID verification process on your behalf, using their own ID and by taking a corresponding selfie on your device.
Please note that we regularly monitor ID verification requests, including the device(s) used for verification purposes. If we believe that a user is attempting to circumnavigate our verification process, your access to IGGalaxy may be removed.

So that IGGalaxy remains a safe and enjoyable space to be, our platform does not allow you to log in, if you are using a VPN. You will also be logged out of IGGalaxy if you transition to a VPN, once signed in.
Users are only allowed to join tournaments in their home region. When joining a tournament, we check the location of your IP address to validate whether you are eligible to join a tournament; if your IP address does not match a tournament rejoin, you will be unable to join it.
- Depending on your location, you may be able to join tournaments in more than one region (i.e. if your country is on the boundary between two regions). This case applies to a small minority of countries.
Nevertheless, users from any country can join a global tournament to pit themselves against international players!
IGGalaxy regional distinctions are described below. Depending on legal guidelines, and so we do not offer certain game titles in countries where they are banned, the Asia region may be separated accordingly.
Some users, who are on the boundary between two regions, may find that they cannot join tournaments in their ‘home’ geography. We expect this situation to be exceptional but, so we can monitor such instances, please contact our support group in Discord or email support@iggalaxy.com.
